Before Installing Ceramic Tile, you should
Consider the tile for the job.
You should check out the surface before installing your ceramic tile.
Before you began installing your ceramic tile check the surface.
If the floor is were you are installing the tile check the floor to see
if you have any humps are little dips if so then you will need to prep the floor
using a straight edge and some thinset for the low areas and you should consider a hammer and chisel for the hump.
.
Be care sometimes the humps can be a drain pipe under the concrete.
When Installing Ceramic Tile , you should be careful choosing the tile.
Remember in most cases you get what you pay for.
One way to tell the quality of ceramic tile is by the glazing,
A good tile will have a thicker glaze, you can tell by looking at it at a angle.

Another way to tell a good tile is by looking at the size deference,
some of the cheaper tiles will be just a little off sized ,
making the job look shabby and harder to keep straight.
Before you began installing your tile you should lay the tiles out
and see just were the cuts will land.

The most attractive way to install tile is by centering the tiles ,
this will ensure the cuts on ether side or the same.
You should lay the tiles out and center them at ever point you can ,
the more areas you can center the better the job will look at the end.
You should use a level when installing tile on walls ,
Making sure that the tiles are level and plumb.

It's also a good ideal to use spacers when installing ceramic tile on walls or floors.
This will help to keep the tiles from getting of line.
Keep in mind when installing ceramic you must stay on your control line.

After you get started and ever so often be sure to check to see that the tiles or straight ,
you can do so by setting your level along side the tiles
and on top of the last course of tiles you installed.
Keeping The Ceramic Tile Installing Straight
The right setting materials for installing your ceramic tile
Choosing the right setting materials to install your tile with will depend on the surface you are installing the ceramic tile on to.
If you are installing tile on wood or sheetrock you should consider using a glue thinsets will not bond to wood, they are used to bond to other cemente surfaces only.

If you are installing ceramic tile on to a concrete slab then thinset is what you will use.
Keeping in mind that some slabs may have a little paint on them or if you are installing tile on backerboard you should use a thinset with latex additive for extra bonding straight.
In any case be sure to see the manufactures recommendations of the product.
